It isn’t that at all, she’s broken. Part of her doesn’t want it to be over, but the other part knows anon will be happier that way, and that’s what she wants. It’s devastating for her.
That being said, this is incredibly depressing, and it kinda makes my defensive instinct flare up..

I can’t believe so many people haven’t gotten the point of this yet. And it’s ironic, because so many white-knights are acting out exactly in the way it’s intended, but at the wrong people.
These aren’t written for people to get off to, or because someone actually enjoys hurting ponies. We enjoy the pain, because only through pain, can we have comfort.
Think of it like this; if all you knew in your life was utopia, eventually that utopia would start to seem bland because there would be nothing to compare it against. This darkness is a comparison to the light. The “doing loving things” light, which is drawn by the same crop of artists, just FYI.
Further, there are those of us that have been through things in our lives that make normal emotion at trivial things impossible. Only through seeing characters I love so dearly such as Derpy and Pinkie (I’m a Keet with a lazy eye myself) hurt so deeply can I release pent-up emotion like that–sometimes years of it.
I don’t recall seeing any kind of backlash like this on pictures of other ponies hurt or crying–and trust me I would know. I’ve gone through the entire “crying” tag, just to have a “Feels” folder of ponies for when I need to let my emotions out. Because after my closest friend died, I was nearly put in jail on a false abuse charge, and nearly had everything and everyone I love snatched away from me, I feel kinda dead inside. Imagining Derpy–or Pinky–or Celly–or anybody, hurt–and then coming along to comfort them…
Is that shameless self-insertion? Yes. But it helps me feel like I’m still alive. THAT’S why I enjoy these types of pics. Not because I’m some guy that actually gets off to pain.
