yeah in my hour break all i got done was adding the white highlights around the red armour/detail on one figure thats it. But if im forking out cash for them i do want them to look as good as i can get them, my time has increased a fair bit back in the day it was only 1-2hours per figure

5 hours a piece would be the equivalent to 2 weeks worth of painting. That ‘Nyx’ marine I did last took 2 days. (Equivalent to around 1 hour). Most of the work is in doing the face right on the pauldron.
So you’ve started doing what I have been doing for over a decade? Painting in your lunch break. I wouldn’t have painted a fraction of what I have done if it hadn’t been for this. Light’s a bit rubbish at home for painting, and I generally can’t be bothered most of the time.
Lads at work don’t usually bother me about doing this any more. I’ve even done some commission work for lads at the local club, (built 2 warhounds, painted dozens of figures, usually character stuff but I have done a few squads. I’m dreading one of the new lads asking me to paint his finecast Eldar Harlequin squad. They really are a pain to paint).

I’ve been a little out of the loop with painting my own force at the moment. Sorting out a Dark Angels Nephilim jetfighter at the moment.
Just did my ‘Nyx’ marine for my OC’s squad, which I posted a couple of days back.
Still need to clean up my Erroria marine (needs the face on the pauldron), my Disastral one is only a third done, and I haven’t even started the Backy and Ticket ones yet.
Anyway, you obviously spend more time on each model than I do.
Look forward to seeing what you do next.
its jokaero orange base with a sligtly ligher (added skull white) mix dry brushed on. then a slightly lighter J.O dry brushed on again. With white just added to the edges. Finished off with “blood for the blood god” glaze to get into the edges
