This is better than a lot of fan renditions of Rarity, and is certainly super cute, but it still doesn’t really “look like Rarity” to me. I can forgive the cat-like qualities because ponies in general and Rarity especially already look and act like cats half the time – but Rarity’s eyes have a very specific shape (compare to Rouge from Sonic) which is almost captured here but not quite, and her hair and tail need high volume and distinct curling.
The tail in particular absolutely has to have the elaborate curls or it’s just not Rarity’s tail. I know many artists have trouble specifically with figuring out how Rarity’s hair / tail work, but this extra effort is an absolute requirement. A portrait of an artiste demands no less than perfection.
