@Lucky Shot
I was able to have fun with and finish Phantom Hourglass, even if it’s replay value is almost non-existent. I couldn’t get ed the first hour in Spirit Tracks.
To be fair Spirit Tracks also mildly adjusted the touch screen controls (particularly rolling), which may be better or worse for some people compared to PH
@Lucky Shot
I also hear people whined about the touch control which is just silly imo.
Either way, both of them are alright but I still prefer Spirit Tracks.
Heck, it was the game that introduces me to Zelda. xD
For me Spirit Tracks felt like a minor downgrade from the much better Phantom Hourglass. Unfortunately, so many babies whined about the “time limit” in the Temple of the Ocean King (which was so forgiving it may as well have said “Goal: clear before you die of old age”) that they had to remove it from Spirit Tracks’s equivalent.
They also whined about being in a boat because of Wind Waker PTSD, so the next game used the much-slower-and-more-boring train instead - but it wasn’t a boat so everybody accepted it anyway.
Phantom Hourglass had much more innovative items; Spirit Tracks literally has a Phantom Hourglass item that does less (Grapple Hook –> Whip)
The only things Spirit Tracks really has going for it are music, Zelda’s personality (but Linebeck was better), and being monstrously difficult by Zelda standards.
@Mike
Oh, so does it work like however many hearts you had after completing the Cave of Shadows, if you did, is how much health Wolf Link will have? That’s neat if so.
@a bunch of people
Skyward Sword is probably my second favorite Zelda game, being beaten only by Wind Waker. I actually think the motion controls were one of my favorite parts about the game.
As for BoTW… I’m honestly not sure how to feel about it. I mean, I’m excited, but I’m not all “GET SUPER HYPE BOI” whatever. Honestly, my first thought after seeing the trailer was “…is this even a Zelda game?”
Now keep in mind I’m not one of those people who are like “DEY CHANGED MUH GAME AND NOW IT SUCKS BRING ME MOAR OF THE EXACT SAME THINGS AS BEFORE”; see again my love of Skyward Sword.
Honestly the main thing I’m worried about is the simultaneous Wii U & NX release. I don’t want to get a new console, but you just know they’re gonna be pushing people to get it, and I feel like the Wii U version is gonna be limited in some way compared to the NX version.
Eh, we still got nearly 9 months (and that’s assuming they don’t delay the release like they often do for Zelda games). We’ll see.
@Mike
Oh, wait– I did enjoy the gameplay! Sorry, I kinda used poor word choice there xD
But yeah, I agree. I never used the skyward strike unless I had to, or if there was one of them box things (which I often ignored anyways)
But my fav part is still the world– especially Lanayru and the Sand Ocean. Super creative and fun to explore. And I am often caught listening to the past and present songs for each of them <3
@ToothpasteThy
Oh, it sounded like you enjoyed the gameplay, too. Unless you did? Anyway, I loved the swordplay, though, the Skyward Strike thing was stupid. The rest of it was fun for me, though.
I have never been more excited for a Zelda game. My hype levels are too high to count. I am so hyped for this game, and I will not be disappointed when it comes out, it will be amazing. There is nothing that will cause me to be disappointed. Well, except for the game being canceled on the Wii U.
@ToothpasteThy
Nupe. I loved it. Fi was annoying, though.
I said I loved the atmosphere. Fi killed it every time. So bland.
that is so fukken good

>>>Spirit Tracks hubworld music.
Legendary.

Modern RPGs wish they had half as much interesting locale in their entire content as Breath of the Wild’s mere demo
That’ll be great honestly.
I want another portable Zelda game, Spirit Tracks and Link Between Worlds were great imo. ^^
I’m sure they’ll make another Toon Link game on the 3DS.
Also, I wonder if they will make a new Toonlink game.
on the other hand, it LOOKS LIKE A GHIBLI FILM
@ReadingReader
Unfortunately capcom owns the rights, and Clover Studios dissolved
True.
Also someone happened to tell me a couple hours ago that besides visuals the two versions are going to be exactly the same.
Don’t you that they did the same thing for Twilight princess? Both the Wii and Gamecube version were fine.

Naw, just my BBBFF.
Oh, ok! I agree about the world^^
@mrdoctorderpy
You don’t need to go through the Cave of Shadows, you can buy the Amiibo solo, but Wolf Link will only have 3 hearts.
Do you happen to have a roommate named Patrick?
There’s a TP HD?? Man, I must be living under a really big rock .3.
