I rag on IDW a lot (you know, of course) but that short is probably my favorite thing they’ve ever done. Re: speed, I think the only person slower is Mary Jane Begin, who also does only traditional painting. There’s at least 500+ hours of work in the two books she has illustrated.

I wish she did full issues
She paints everything in watercolor, so she’s not really fast enough for full issues; she did have a backup story in main series #25, though, and it was indeed magnificent.
