I was banned once for ing a mod and making a simple, harmless request.
The request was “Can you please ban me?” :D

I assume it was the “Report yourself” suggestion. On some sites, being reported is always bad.
Here, sometimes it’s bad, but a lot of the time it’s just a way to get something that needs to be done into the “Someone needs to look at this” queue.
So, reporting yourself just means that one of us on staff is going to ask you why you did that.
