Transformers Prime with more Earth cussing and implied robot sex. You don’t even have to increase the violence. Prime was already a pretty brutal show.

If it isn’t edgy and yet it is mature, people are gonna compare it to the MCU if it’s Light-hearted. Unless it’s like G.I. Joe Resolute in of execution and pacing.
Something that doesn’t mistake “edgy” for “mature”, for one thing. And something that actually makes the Combiners look cool, i.e. what the series was SUPPOSED to do (for something that was meant to sell the Combiners, those Combiners sure went down really easily most of the time, to the point where you’re wondering, “Wait, why are these guys considered such a threat again?”).
Also, what the HELL was up with Windblade? COMPLETELY out-of-character from how she is in the IDW comics, which the series was SUPPOSED to tie into.
and Kick-Ass gets away with being a lighthearted superhero movie. Even with the R rating and a few dark things in both films.
Makes too much sense. But I see people disliking Civil War and Iron Man 3.
