@lonewolf
Yeah, I don’t think Ghost is really right-wing, nor left-wing.
Regardless, he sometimes has some good takes on some issues, (like he’s against Internet regulation or censorship) but also plenty of terrible takes too.
@ИІЯІЖIRIN
Sometimes people of opposite opinions or sides can get along, or reasonably talk.
Also, I recall Ghost stopped considering himself a conservative, (hence why the show used to be “True Conservative Radio,” and changed to “True Capitalist Radio.”) due to his dislike of Sarah Palin, and sometimes he has a moderate or even left leaning view on some things. Like he said he doesn’t like people wasting environmental resources, or food, and feels those things are limited.
He is apparently also opposed to some Republicans like Ted Cruz, Newt Gingrich, and former Texas representative Lamar Smith. (Considering Lamar infamously wanted to regulate the Internet, so even those on the right didn’t like him.)
@Beau Skunky
I honestly can’t believe that happened, given that Tara is a liberal and Ghost is a hardcore conservative (or at least used to be) as well as extremely right-wing and the fact that Tara was pro-brony whilst Ghost was anti-brony and still is.
Either way, that moment on Radio Graffiti will ALWAYS remain just as iconic as Tub Guy was. Also, given what we know now about Tara, the clip and Ghost’s reaction makes it even more iconic.
I take it y’all didn’t hear about TonyTalk at all? After Ghost moved from BlogTalkRadio, a portion of the audience found another host who was just as much fun to troll if not moreso. He kept his show going until BTR shut down completely despite a wide array of wacky characters who would constantly call in and bust his chops; I’d strongly recommend looking the episodes up if you want something new to sink your teeth into.
@ИІЯІЖIRIN
Huh, bummer really seems like nobody in the TCR/Radio Graffiti fandom could get along. Probably why it’s kinda dead now.
On a lighter note, another fun memory of the show was when someone played a clip of Tara Strong at a convention saying in Twilight Sparkle’s voice one of Ghost’s most popular catchphrases. “I’m a melting pot of friendship!”
Ghost didn’t take it well at first, but later on Twitter Tara left him a message, and Ghost thanked her, which is a nice thing to see.
@Beau Skunky
I don’t know much on a personal level, other than what PonySoup told me once about the whole thing. Apparently Twilie also fell into the same trap as Elfoxoloco - meaning she became way too overbearing for her own good and would frequently start crap within the TCR circle. They know more about Twilie than I do, personally. I just took their word.
Strangely the TVTropes page for “True Capitalist Radio” had also disappeared which chronicled alot of the “characters/callers” and funny moments.
BlogTalkRadio the place where TCR originally aired back in the early 2010s has apparently shut down too. So unfortunately all the old episodes are gone, but I assume many fans ed, and archived them.
@Beau Skunky
Oh yeah, I’ve heard about what went down with Elfoxoloco and how he couldn’t put his brony-hate aside despite being a furry if I can recollect. I don’t know much about DarkRazorZ and what happened to THEM as to why THEIR channel was deleted as well. (LightningNote as well.) I will say that GhostlerJones and Explode have done a better job of archiving the entire archive of TCR during the late 2010’s after the 2012 hiatus when Ghost came back in 2016 during the 2016 Election.
As for Elfox, what a pathetic individual in my opinion. Even Ghost thought he was a loser later in life - ironically despite being anti-brony himself (that much was obvious in his earlier broadcasts).
Elfox could’ve handled his own personal biases maturely, but he chose not to. Does not excuse the harassment and doxxing as you pointed out earlier, but, as they say “the ends do not justify the means”.
He was once a respected member of the TCR fandom that turned into a total joke.
(Similar to Twilie Atkins.)
@lonewolf
I guess that is deserved, and it shows the brony trolls could still be clever too. (Still, someone trying to dox him was wrong, and overkill, despite how Foxo acted.)
Apparently, even Ghost began mocking Foxo, so he apparently fell out of favor with the TCR/Radio Graffiti fandom, and left it, even deleting his whole YouTube archive.
Luckily, a fan began reing the uncensored DarkRazorZ compilations. (With even the brony calls good or bad, in tact.)
@Beau Skunky
There was a case in the later part of TCR where ElFoxo got together on their after show voice chat and came up with an anti brony thing (capped with Trump saying he approves of the message) to play on RG, but a brony was listening in and recorded and modified it , then threw it back in their faces on the next RG. The rage from El was gold.
I think brony calls started getting less common when TCR/Ghost fans started getting tired of them. A minor civil war in the TCR fandom with bronies, and non-bronies didn’t help either…
I don’t know all the details of it…
Apparently, ElFoxoLoco (one of the main Radio Graffiti archivists on YouTube back in the day besides DarkRazerZ) threatened to cut brony calls out of his videos, and supposedly an angry brony (or maybe some troll claiming to be one to give them a bad reputation) retaliated by trying to dox him, (which is ittedly a bad thing to do) so that created alot more disdain for bronies in the TCR fandom, and as a result Foxo began editing all brony calls out of his videos, and other trolls stopped doing brony calls as much, (hence why they didn’t do the later characters you mentioned) and as time went on the brony pranks kinda died off as the MLPFIM show began to end.
Alot of actual bronies and TCR voice actors left the TCR fandom too, because of all the TCR fandom fighting, or because they were tired of TCR, as Ghost’s reactions started becoming repetitive for some.
It’s kinda ironic a prank call troll fandom basically turned on itself, and began trolling itself, instead of it’s target, (Ghost) but not surprising.
A fandom of trolls is kinda a toxic one.
Regardless of the drama, the “Ultimate Brony Prank Call Compilation” video is still one of the most popular TCR/Radio Graffiti videos on YouTube.
@Beau Skunky
I’m surprised we didn’t get MORE of those types of troll calls in 2016 and onwards tbh! Those calls were honestly the most memorable as they were amusingly entertaining; that online pegasister VAs would actually call up Ghost and troll him in MLP voices! Kira Buckland and Bree Faith come to mind specifically.
It honestly would’ve been AMUSING as all hell if later characters like Zecora, Starlight Glimmer, Cozy Glow, or pretty much ANY other character that appeared in 2016 to 2019 called up Ghost to see what his reaction would be. It would be a sight to see for sure after a hiatus of non-mlp troll calls! It’s a shame they never really went that far in 2016 and onwards as they did back in 2011 - 2013. -_-
@ИІЯІЖIRIN
My favorite ones were girls who would call in, and do pretty good imitations of MLP characters like Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy, and even Trixie.
“Is Hasbro trolling me?! Freaking ponies! I got freaking PONIES calling me up now! They should be used for horse meat! “
@Beau Skunky
They do; much like any other internet troll. They either move on or quit entirely.
Either way, Tub Guy will still be ed for his infamous catchphrase (“Oh My~”) and for his presence on True Capitalist Radio/Radio Graffiti and Blogtalkradio alone. That much we can say about him.
@SaburoDaimando
Pretty surprising, considering most of the original TCR/Radio Graffiti cast are gone now sense before the revival.
Though, Asho on a rare occasion calls in too, and Edna (or rather somebody doing an odd impression of her) called in once during the show last year. We never hear from Tri$ha, Rina-Chan, Suspicious Tumbleweed, the classic remixers, and such anymore though. I kinda miss the older callers. (Some of the newer ones aren’t bad though.)

He’s also turned against Trump after ing him the first time around.

What happened with Twilie, dare I ask?

I believe the first pony imitation prank call was this Fluttershy one by BaldDumboRat. (The famed early fan voice for Derpy.)

Huh, I guess he just vanished.
I don’t know much tbh.
I think his Wikia page can explain more than I can.
What happened to Tub Guy?
He’s using Gab’s streaming service. The Brony Network still streams it on Youtube.
Wait, Ghost is back again? Is he on BTR, or did he migrate to a new service?
Well Ghost brought back RG last Friday. If people put crypto currency into his “wishing well”, he’ll continue to do it.
Not surprisingly Tub Guy called in and called it a “wishing tub”. And the cans flew. :P
