On the topic of Fluttershy’s income, @Gay Space Raptor has the right idea, and a part of me feels like she gets her own personal stipend thanks to being a hero to Equestria several times.

She could be funded locally by the government as you mentioned earlier, there’s plenty of jobs from her line of work including pet sitting/grooming, adoption center, breeding, animal control, wildlife management, even a bird orchestra conductor apparently. Someone brought up the idea of selling animal produce after all she has plenty of them. The thing is Fluttershy has plenty of methods of income to herself if she doesn’t just receive a paycheck, the thing is MLP hardly ever specifies the economics of their universe. But honestly I think Fluttershy serves a vital role for Ponyville, and I don’t imagine her being short on income.

There was even some episode in the latest season where Fluttershy establishes an animal sanctuary to lighten Dr. Fauna’s workload (the veterinarian). What are you getting at exactly MildCard? Yes there is a vet. What about it?

But by the end of his episode Zephyr had seemed to conquer his fear of failure to put in the work to become successful. He did only graduate from mane therapy training or whatever but I wouldn’t doubt he’d move forward and land himself a job being a mane stylist. Fluttershy did help him get that motivation, drive and courage.
Tree Hugger is a member of the Equestrian Society for the Preservation of Rare Creatures, what a mouthful. But with that in mind, she probably does field work.
