Well, he did say the “nice family of raccoons” recommended Rarity’s shop, which kind of implies he was still staying in the storm drain when he applied.
Though, there’s no clear indication of how long the dancers were working there besides long enough to show up on Rarity’s bookkeeping, so it’s quite possible he’s found a proper roof over his head since then.
Starting to remind me a bit of the young girl from the Eragaon series, whom was forced to shield others from pain and misfortune. Not exactly the same but similar vibes.
Also, dude, you should totally send your sisters some cash before they get booted out of their home! Unless they did something horrid to deserve their situation. Then all bets are off.
The talent is seeming worse by the minute. Now just the mere thought of a mare being displeased can kick it into action, and seems like he is at least partially compelled by it.

At the least, he could introduce them to the stripper way of life. Show them some things that worked for him and then let them fix things themselves.
