Aside from “everyone else in the world who waits for their local broadcast, especially those who don’t speak English well and already have a long lead-in time for translations”? Treehouse’s strategy here stinks upwind for everyone in the fandom, and is especially stupid given that Hasbro clearly spaced Season 7 to end right before The Movie hits theaters.
I seriously hope Mike Vogel sees what this jackassery is doing to the fandom and still has enough pull upstairs to get Hasbro to make some phone calls to Treehouse, those idiots are legit going to damage the franchise’s bottom line if this keeps up.

Treehouse’s schedule has been harmful to the fandom’s art output; two episodes one day after the next every week means one episode will get shafted fanart-wise, as there’s just not enough time or possibility for attention to work on it. Same applies to fics (I imagine) and just general fans talking about the episodes.
Never mind that it directly leads to the next inter-season hiatus being significantly longer.

I know of other shows where somthing similar happened but it just leads to annoyance.
Like Transformers RID, CN is running it so slow with the current season and overseas it got shown quickly, fans are just annoyed by how CN is acting with it, but none of them give a fuck about it airing elsewhere before CN has it.

I still wish I knew what kind of mental backflips these kinds of idiots have to do to really think anyone listened and why they even care in the first place about another network showing 2 eps/week.

i know some of our canadian s here might be feeling a bit shafted by this turn of events, but if it’s any consolation discovery kids is still airing discordant harmony this saturday as usual so they can just tune into a stream or something. lol never mind, we’re still 2 episodes behind. tbh even though i’ve been enjoying the double dose of pony i knew something like this was gonna happen.

If you want to avoid spoilers, you have to avoid pony-related sites until you see the latest episode.
And yes, I know about the spoiler tags here; that doesn’t mean people are always good at applying them, or avoiding/obscuring spoilers in comments.
