I know now what they are because I looked it up - Repeating the “recoilless gun” term wasn’t particularly informative. “Recoilless gun” is one of the most ambiguous, uninformative I’ve encountered in military history.
For those who don’t know, it’s sort of like a miniature cannon that lets out most of the initial firing explosion out through the back to reduce recoil. Despite looking like rocket launchers and having a backblast, they actually fire modified artillery shells. Also, don’t confuse the Panzerfaust with the PanzerSCHRECK, which actually is a rocket launcher.

Originally, yes. Panzer meaning Tank (as abbreviation of PanzerKampfWagen, Armoured Fighting Vehicle) was already common in German as well as the English use to identify German tanks by the starts of WWII.
I did not know this, that is pretty cool though. Thank you for sharing that.

Honestly, I don’t think it matters much, since she is showing it off, not actually preparing to shoot it or anything.
At least that’s how I thought of it when I was showed the sketch by my friend who commissioned this picture.

Many allied troops using captured ones made a similar mistake.
Even worse was the ones that braced the tube against their shoulder.
