It was always near impossible but I was kind of hoping we would have a perfect storm of nintendo does the game and film is a hit in japan so we could have ponies in smash bros.
Eh, games, toys, and food companies seem like reasonable sponsors for a toy-based movie… But yeah, no Happy Meal toys, at least, not indicated here… <3<

Not necessarily, considering (a) big names may not want to partner with a toy company in order to promote a movie that, ultimately, promotes that company’s toys, and (b) toy sales are going to be the real measure of the movie’s success, not ticket sales, DVD sales, streaming sales, etc.

Build-a-Bear is pretty big… But the only other one I know of is Gameloft…
