Like, everything is ed at one time, and they have multiple videos depending on the path each individual viewer takes. For example, you have a video to start off with, and at the end, you’re presented with two choices that both lead to separate videos, which then continue to branch off. That way, everyone gets their own experience.

Yeah, I when people used to make those interactive videos on Youtube. They were rarely more than a simple good choice/bad choice thing, which reminds me of this clip:

Any idea if the series will have “canon” paths? Does the series having having multiple path suggest there is no canon or they stopped caring about it?

A new Youtube series was announced and displayed. It’s “Choose your own adventure” style where a coal minders daughter wants to disco.
In another instance, the audience was given the choice between Sunset, Applejack, and Twilight for a main character to save Fluttershy who is stuck, complete with loads of 4th wall breaking.
Rainbow Dash is the “Fairy Boot Mother”

I’m curious it will probably involve the girls spiting up, and you chose whom to follow, until the branches meat up again.
 
Continuity wise you can’t have multiple endings because of the next episode would be affected.
