AU!Stygian is one of the biggest IDW MLP losses. Nightmare Knights just get rid of him and we never heard about him again. Eah Eris was not that bad (likly the best Pony-Comic villian) but golly, the whole concept of Stygian being Pony of Shadows for so long that he forgot who he was is just so neat
Neat ending, one of the more interesting ones imo. One AU story is enough for me tho. Also grateful that IDW doesn’t go the Marvel/DC route with clones, time travel, twin siblings and god knows how many alternate versions of one character. Love em but cant warp my head around omniverse shit. Still sad they ended Friends Forever.
As predictable as this ending was, it was interesting to see how it got there. Alternate universes is a concept I wish the series would play around with more often. ^^
You can defeat someone and not kill them. But he obliterated his friends, he didn’t defeat them.
Defeat and kill are not mutually exclusive.

This is a different Pony of Shadows that lives in a parallel world. This one has managed to destroy the Pilars in his universe.
Alt U version of Stygian fully became the PoS, defeated the Pillars, and has been so long since that point that he forgot he was Stygian.
