There’s a lot of silly names that could come off as demeaning when translated. And I don’t see the name as anything necessarily demeaning either. I get some people used the term as slang for coward but some chickens are rather ornery and the opposite of that. Not to mention some people keep them as pets.
well it’s not just that he hates the letter g. he wants to change gallus in particular because, according to him, it means chicken, and that’s demeaning to him.
I understand not liking the whole G naming convention but I don’t see the point in “renaming” a canon character. I don’t even like the replacement name. Skycarus isn’t even a real word. Gallus is s real word and it’s also bird related.

Well that does make naming limited among griffons unless they’re allowed to have the same names. But the point is, the artist has clearly hit his breaking point with the show’s updates and is still here despite no longer liking the show.

it also doesn’t make sense to rename Gallus but not rename Gabby while you’re at it

The artist hates how all griffon names in the show have to start with “G” so that’s why he made Gallus change his name.
