@northern haste
That’s the point I was trying to make. My theory is she has some kind of Pegasi medical disorder where her wings don’t have enough magic
Yah and I’m incapable of truly communicating with anyone else as words are unable to express even the surface of the surface of my thoughts, damning me to a lifetime of isolation inside my own mind, no matter how many friends I make. Due I let that stop me, no
@Minus
I don’t mind if something like that is done with a different character.
But with a character we’ve been following like Scoots, it would feel much more triumphant to see her fly on her own.
@superfun
Using tools would seem cheap? Would you say the same to a pony using a wheelchair? that this is a disability. And the point of her having it is so people like you can be more accepting. There is no “try harder” until they’re not disabled anymore. It’s only healthy once they accept it, and once others do too.
@superfun
I want to see her flying using a variety of tools: hang-glider, balloons, Kit Cloudkicker’s aerofoil, etc. Just because she can’t fly with just her wings doesn’t mean she can’t fly without aid. I’m not a big fan of sticking a character in a wheelchair just for representation, but this wouldn’t be that.
@IceKitsune
For me, personally, it’s not something that ruins her character.
It’s just that seeing her be able to eventually fly would be such a triumph for her as a character.
I don’t mind them having a disabled character who won’t be able to fly. I’d just prefer if they created a new one and let Scoots fly.
If it turns out that, canonically, she’ll never be able to fly, fine.
But until there’s definite proof of that (and this line is NOT said proof), I will continue to hold the headcanon that she’ll eventually fly.
Ok this is something I really still don’t understand at all. What exactly is the issue people have with Scootaloo not being able to fly and being disabled? Why is this a problem for some people? Some people act like if she is disabled it completely ruins the character for them, is it because it upsets you or something?
@soundtea
At the same time though, it’s been made clear to the audience that she makes up for it with her dynamic skills on the scooter, on which she uses her wings as a sort of propeller!

your current filter.Whatever is preventing scootaloo from flying it is clearly not have physical problem with her wings
Pegasi flight has more to do with magic than wing-size, I thought the show already confirmed this with the season 4 finale.

your current filter.And yet bulk biceps can fly
@superfun
You never noticed the tiny, underdeveloped wings?

TOYCHICKEN YOU CAN’T FLYDash making Tank fly is more of a science project than actual magic.
She can’t fly, despite being a pegasus.
agreed
why the fuck people think that Scootaloo is disabled…

I’d honestly rather see her fly on her own.

Like I said earlier though, whether she ends up being able to fly or not, she still makes up for it and puts her wings to use in a way

But we don’t know what that defect is, so for all we know, it can still be overcome.
