Either because it looks like a generic kid’s edutainment programme from the 90s,
or the main characters being a “diverse-looking” group would look more fitting for a social justice-related cartoon (though it should look like Steven Universe if it were the latter).
I agree that this would make a good sequel to FiM, if it can also be a spin-off like EqG. The Student Six do deserve to have more episodes about their interesting and curious lives, instead of being only a conclusion.
