far as I know only one witness is called to the courtroom at a time. anyway they could be in the court audience I suppose, but that wouldn’t explain why it switched over to them, when he asked if this was a fair hearing.
the jury doesn’t defend the defendant, they reach a verdict based on the arguments from the defense and the prosecution. and they’re supposed to be impartial.
but the fact that he doesn’t have a defendant is also pretty glaring.

You’ve willingly tampered with the memories of everypony in Equestria, forcing them to forget a significant portion of their lives just because of your pettiness and unwillingness to Forgive and come-to- with your own Regrets. You chose to make your own problems everypony elses’ in a bid to make yourself alone feel better when it wasn’t even necessary.
So, I take it they thawed him out for his trial here, and even after being petrified, he’s still talking back to the Princesses. At this point I’m starting to ire the guy for his sheer cussedness.
Ok, it IS rather biased if that shot of Nyx and the gang is supposed to be the jury box, but as @TheKman100 notes, there’s literally no one in Equestria, possibly the planet, not affected by his crimes, so finding an unbiased jury, judge, or prosecutor would be impossible.
Plus they can’t be both wittiness and jury. But that’s assuming this is a trial by jury in the first place

I think you mean “Defense Attorney”, because he is the defendant.

it was one amnesia potion, and there’s a difficult but reliable cure.
I certainly do think his sentence should include limits to his alchemical activities. and possibly counseling. lots and lots of

His crimes include country-wide memory tampering. Arranging a fair trial would be all but impossible.
