huh, so disneyland functions to convince people that the ideals it embodies are unreal, thus impossible in reality. thus making us stop fighting against those who turn our magic kingdoms into concrete prisons in reality, because “that’s just the way things are.”
from what I know of the man, I think walt disney might have been a teeny bit upset at that notion. he was so big on the visionary nature of theme parks. as laughably unrealistic as they are to a jaded modern eye, I feel like he genuinely wanted his exhibits to represent a real and achievable, even an inevitable future.
The idea’s been a toss up for the past couple of days and I was tossing it around with friends of mine more familiar with the concept than myself. I never got a negative answer, and in the couple day period between coming up with it and the final product I was trying to determine in what area Twilight as a waifu represents: Hyper Reality, a truth or an image of a thing to cover up there was no truth, a simulacra: existing as a copy of something that had no original, or as simulation.

I know
I was making an art joke, not interfacing with the posed question. Hyperrealism is a movement in painting and sculpting.

OK
Or.
YOOOOOOOOOO GET DABED
“She’s a copy without an original, mon ami!”
