Personally, I used to think LGBT+ pride was a silly thing. Then I realize it’s necessary, at least right now, not because we want to shove our lifestyles in people’s faces, but because we don’t want to be ashamed of who we are. Social shaming for being LGBT+ is still real, though it’s lessening thanks to positive and months like this where we can band together and be proud of who we are.

You can use a filter if you don’t want to see pride month posts (by blocking the tag “pride month”). You have to sign up to use filters though.
