And even if they weren’t, I’m not going to hold it against them. We don’t know everything and sometimes people forget. People don’t know everything about a particular subject they like but they can always learn something new from other people. It’s happened to me before tons of times. It’s nice to both learn from others and to share bits of trivia with other fans.
You’re thinking of My Little Pony Tales, right? That’s not G2. Think of it as a G1.5 series so to speak.
G2 never got a cartoon series and was only a toyline. Their toys looked even more like horses compared to the G1 toys. They were quite tall too. I wouldn’t be surprised if Celestia, Luna, Fleur de Lis and the like were inspired by them.

I get more of a G2 vibe from this. The way they’re standing and making cakes …
