The wheat grass smoothie one is obvious, though. Also, I heard some people in the 60s tried smoking flax seed just to see if it would get them high, but that could be just a rumor.
I’m guessing it’s more because they’re technically farmponies, and hippies live on farms, so they just went ahead and combined the two. They can’t be too obvious by naming them like “Rolled Grass” or “Burnt Out,” or “Magic Trip.”
