I wasn’t around then either, but some of the memes I’ve seen imply that this site was flooded with content when Ponibooru shut down. Everyone from that site flooded this site, resulting in a giant pile of content.

I believe that a lot of the earlier pics were saved from other sites (and from the previous version of this very site), and were all ed basically in a huge batch when the current site started, so they were all lost in a giant mass of s and barely seen, hence the relatively low scores for even the most amazing pieces of art from that time.

Not going to lie,I am glad this image has been saved and put into the spotlight. However,I am finding some early Celestia drawings that are beyond my understanding and I wonder how it’s possible to have such few upvotes out there.

Pretty much. To put into perspectove as to how old it is, it was created before EQD. And EQD is one of the oldest g4 fandom sites around.

I imagine it was also posted on Ponibooru right before its inevitable demise.
Literally just a few months before the site went down. Riddled with errors and bugs.
