I’m pretty sure I’ve seen Gamma fanart prior to this, (including of the birdie inside it) but not much. Omega & Metal Sonic are more popular.
 
Gamma clones also appeared in the Sonic Blue Core Studios “fan movie” short too. Ironic, some used to bash that short, (regardless I liked it, and surprisingly so did Yuji Naka) but now they probably wish the new official movie would use it’s more “true to the original” Sonic design. (Granted, we still don’t know what Sonic looks like fully, but that silhouette shadow still upsets people. You know how much Sonic fans “love” change.)
 
Regardless I hope the STH movie is still enjoyable, even in a “so bad it’s good way,” like the Street Fighter & SMB movies.

I can arguably state I am the first to bring Gamma in fanart and fanfic if someone hasn’t beaten me. Apparently, no one thought about bringing back Gamma since his SA debut and clone copys in SA2 and Sonic Battle. XD

Mephiles wasn’t created by Eggman. It would have made more sense if you used Omega or Tails Doll.
 
Also, why Silver Sonic, the weakest of the Sonic copies? Why not Metal Sonic or Mecha Sonic?
