As someone who was there for it as it was developing, I can say it was INCREDIBLY satisfying when they finally did get together after all the ship-teasing. It’s why I don’t mind that it kind of took over, because it gave the story development and conclusion.
How many of the fan stories you follow ever actually give you anything conclusive? Most of them just sort of squitter to a halt when they eventually stop updating.
I haven’t been in the fandom for long enough to this stuff, all I know is there’s an OC that’s 99% puff and 1% pone, and she’s shipped with Chryssi and it’s adorable :D

I hate to sound negative, but I feel the same way. I liked Fluffle Puff better before she (and Chrys) got Flanderized by this odd crack-pairing. (I kinda feel the same about Lyra & BonBon too.) Heck, it actually seems taken too seriously now to even be a “crack pairing.”
Plus, honestly anyone being shipped with a character like Chrysalis or Discord looks off to me.
The art is nice though, so not “hating.” That’s all I got to say on it.

I personally enjoyed it more when it was Dan vs MLP and Flufflepuff was just an extra odd character to torment Dan.
Personally I think the shipping made it less funny.
