Bullshit. Ever heard of an episode called Sleepless in Ponyville? And if she is so ‘self centered’, as you claim, why didn’t she just let Rarity fall to her death in Sonic Rainboom? Why did she go after Spike in Dragon quest? Why does she quit in Wonderbolts Academy for her friends safety, rather than just ing it off? Why does she bother to state to Applejack “we couldn’t care if you came 50th place, you’d still be our friend.” in The Last Round Up. Why does she bother to stop the train and go back for Scootaloo in Flight to the Finish? … etc.
There is no room in Rainbow Dash’ heart except for Rainbow Dash.
Seriously, Rainbow Dash in the show is very self-centered and only come around after getting a lecture. Acting in kindness for others, let alone the Scootaloser, is highly OOC
Don’t forget her wanting to help Fluttershy in Hurricane Fluttershy

I think I’ve made my case…
By that logic, the fact that she’s the Element of Loyalty should be OOC.

It’s less OOC than your idealized version of Rainbow Dash abusign Scootaloo.
