For those who do not know, Long Face is a reference to when someone is sad, people often ask “why the long face?” This is due to frowning causing the face to stretch downward. Normally long faces are common with horses and ponies, so the pun is doubly effective here. He seems to be a villain who takes delight in causing misery and depression, or “long faces”. Mimes and clowns tend to do that.
