Agreed. Look, everyone, the point is, I’m not going anywhere unless I get kicked off permanently. I love this show, I love its tropes, I love the feelings I get from it. Nobody is going to drive me away, not Meghan McCarthy, not s, not BPs, not you, not your mom, not anyone. You can either choose to accept it or just keep yelling at me and posting snarky comments that help no one.
I can honestly not understand the disproportianate grief dropped in my lap.

I appreciate it. In the end, I’m not out to cause trouble, just make people think and maybe make them laugh. I’ve been around maybe a bit too long… almost 18 years online. In that time I’ve perhaps gotten a little jaded about my situation and lack of friends, etc. Not going to bore you with more, but suffice it to say I’ve grown a very thick armor over the decades.
If more s were reasonable like you, I probably wouldn’t be quite the jerk I turned out to be online. If people show me respect, I return the favor. I don’t want anyone to think otherwise.

Flash’s existence baffles me. The way I see it, the writers have proved time and again that they can write really cool characters, and I have a hard time believing that they’d willingly write in a ing character that literally serves no purpose in the story whatsoever except to be some sort of love interest (notice that whenever another character talks about Flash, it’s ALWAYS in reference to him being a love interest).
As such, I’ve settled on the theory that Flash, and his status as a love interest, only exists due to some sort of executive mandate, and the writers are only including as much of him as is strictly necessary. Nothing else makes any sense. Heck, the ultimate proof of this (in my mind) is that in Rainbow Rocks they took Sunset Shimmer, who was also disliked due to poor characterization, and gave her a new lease on life! And yet Flash was just as flat useless as he was in the first movie.

From one of the reviews on it I saw, I heard that there was actually audible booing and hissing when Flash Sentry appeared on screen in Rainbow Rocks.
Considering this and his uselessness in general, it makes me wonder why they still even bother with him? Especially since he’s pretty much become the Anti-Derpy: Whereas anytime Derpy shows up there is fangasming and cheer and is pretty much loved by everyone in the fandom (Except for a few SJW dumbasses), any time Flash shows up there’s hissing and booing (and for good reason).
You’d think by now the writers would have seen just how poor his reaction has been so far, and you think they would have gotten smart and thrown his ass on the bus already instead of continually trying to convince us to like this character while doing even less to convince us to like this character.
I mean… really? If they’re not even going to bother, then why even bother? It’s quite obvious at this stage that unless they totally retcon this guy and/or pull off something absolutely amazing with him (which would require… wait for it… effort), he’s pretty much just doomed to be the pariah dog of the fandom. Either do something with him and quit half-assing it, or (metaphorically) take Flash behind the shed and put him out of his misery (and ours) already.
