I also tested and confirmed this. I hit up the search for the Big Macintosh apple and was flooded with Red Applepone. I also told a non-brony friend of mine to do the same and he got Big Applehorse too.

A soul patch is a narrow bit of beard on the chin, like Big Mac has above.
A goatee is a larger beard worn only on the chin.
A Van Dyke beard is a goatee with a moustache.

I tried in Incognito mode, actually.
In Chrome and in Firefox.
Tons of red pony.
Adding “apple” doesn’t help much.
Google searches are individually adapted though, so people who don’t look at ponies all days probably get a more even spread.
