Aww, two icons trapped by the public’s expectations…even if I suspect very few pones wouldn’t understand if Pinks reeled back the hyper-extrovertedness a bit.
Man goes to doctor, says he’s depressed. Life seems harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain. Doctor says “Treatment is simple. The great clown, Pagliacci, is in town. Go see him. That should pick you up”. Man bursts into tears. “But doctor”, he says, “I am Pagliacci.”
Hmm… I wonder why he wasn’t in it… maybe it would’ve seemed like stunt casting?
Heck, Sean Connery was supposed to play a minor role in Skyfall…

… And yet, it still felt out of place to type an “R.I.P.” comment towards him… not sure why.
Let me fix that for you.
Entertainers are perfect for most of society… But it’s a shame that they also end up burdened with some of the heaviest cases of depression.
