@Jarkes
Last I checked, RC had Tirek roflsmashed by a Crystal Heart-charged Spike in one short, and had an Alicorn Amulet-boosted HiE jerk blow his head off with a blunderbuss in another ongoing. Pretty sure Nyx didn’t figure directly into either of those, but otherwise agreed in full on the soapboxing & prickliness.
And it’s not just his politics; he also regularly uses characters as his mouthpieces for his opinions on certain episodes of the show (like Mare-Do-Well). And then there was that story he wrote where he basically turned Tirek into a total joke so Nyx could curb-stomp him, and then mass deleted the comments of anyone who dared criticize it…
@Jarkes
He’s a great author when he doesn’t use his stories as a soapbox. The problem is that he soapboxes irregularly enough that you can never tell when he’s going to do it next.
Oh, yeah… I was planning to read that as well as the other stories set in that universe, but, well, then I discovered that the author, RealityCheck, is… kind of a douchebag and tends to use his stories to rant about his political views.
Twilight: And if that worked, how would you go up against an army of my Brother’s royal guards and Princess Celestia’s royal guard?
Starlight: …
Twilight: Not to mention an entire town calling out for your blood because I would have been powerless as well as the solar eclipse that would have sailed over your head…oh, and my parents, who happen to be an ex-soldier and a writer that travels…
You knew it was coming. And that even if the Amon thing had been done, it still hadn’t been done by Beavernator, and that it’d be a little different when he got around to it. Lol.
Roflsmashed!?! God, that’s sounds hilarious when read as one word, Vocabulary +1.

Yeah, he’s kind of an asshole.

Yeah, it’s called Nyx’s Family.
Didn’t we see a cover for that in FIMFiction at one point?
Night Light as an ex-soldier? That’s a new one…

Starlight: Okay, you’ve made your point!
If you’re going to hate episodes because fans drive certain gags into the ground, you’re going to hate all the episodes of the series.
Twilight’s just trolling her
