Well, my mistake then…I was trying to say, that what worked in those shows may not work here.
It would seem a bit of an insult to the bi community to call having them in the show “a final F*ck you.” Anyway, Bryke already explained why they did it and what happened behind the scenes. They wanted to do it for awhile but thought Nick wouldn’t let them, then thought “well, why not ask?” and Nick approved it (with some limitations, sadly). Steven Universe is a show for even younger kids that now has a canon same sex relationship that is very explicitly romantic, so… there’s that.
Well considering that some of romances were poorly written ( specificaly in season two the creators themselves even itted to it). And how Nickelodeon were screwing the staff by the third season (with rumors saying that they wanted to end the series as quickly as possible) the answer to that question is a big resounding YES.
One can make the implication that the Korrasami ending was made as a final F*ck you to Nick. Which I am not against.
