Eh, I still don’t think the show is trying to hint at anything. While my idea would be a stretch normally, thins isn’t a normal situation. We’re talking about a guy who ruined someones day, pretended to be sick, and made them go across Equestria to help him. Just to prove that they were friends. Discord’s crazy, possessive, insecure, and doesn’t like to share. Discord is acting out like a child would, too bad this child is a ancient god of chaos with tons of power

Eh kind of a stretch, if you are so jealous at this point over your friend then perhaps there are some serious issues with you and your friend that we don’t know about. After all there isn’t much difference between platonic and romantic friendship to begin with. Even if your friend is just your buddy of the same sex as you, If you overreacted like that then people would think that you are gay

I think it’s less of, “How DARE you touch her!? SHE’S MINE!”. And more of, “How DARE she like you so much that she is okay with you touching you!? She’s MY friend and she can only be close with ME!”
