The image itself isn’t trolling, it’s just obligatory pony (using a pony to post non-pony stuff), and thus would’ve been deleted if it hadn’t already had a ton of comments.

Complaining about an image being tacky and annoying is generally considered a minor rule 0 violation (very minor in this case), I was talking the majority who were seeming to want to argue about things, which is a bigger problem, and didn’t feel the need to specifically address your comment.
If you want to have a nice debate about SCOTUS’ boundaries, head to the forums (this image shouldn’t even be here, really).
If you are here to troll by saying that the “rights of the pepole” have been stripped or calling homosexuality a “paraphilia” or regurgitating stock nonsense arguments about how marriage has “existed in nature for millions of years”, please find a different site to troll on.

I’d say marriage is still not about love. If it were just love, you could just live together. The only difference between that and marriage (and the only reason to marry at all) are the privileges that marriage brings with itself.

Few things: marriage has not existed for millions of years. Homosexuality, on the other hand, has. Marriage has always been a contract of regulating power in a sexual relationship, imposing the will of the extended family and the society as a whole on individuals on who their partner should be in of benefits it grants to the family, not the individual in question. It has not been about love until very recently.
In spite of this, many societies do have included the option for gay marriage in one shape or another over the history due to the prevalence of the phenomenon. Trying to act as if it somehow subverts some greater natural order is laughable.
