I’m not talking who’s physically/magically stronger… This isn’t DBZ where whoever has the highest powerlevel wins. Chrysalis has a power that allows her to always get a preemptive strike.
-Isolates Spike and kills him while transformed as Twilight, transforms into Spike, waits for Twilight to sleep, kills her.
-Transforms as Twilight, calls Starlight over for a friendship test, kills Starlight while her back is turned.
-Remains as Twilight, goes to Canterlot, ask for a private meeting with Celestia, kill her while she’s sipping tea.
-Transform as Celestia, kill off Luna and Cadance using above tactics.
-Disband Royal Guard
-Turn Canterlot into new hive
-Etc

The only one who can really throw a wrench into this is Discord who’s nigh immortal, but if she can whip up some more of that magic distortion rock, she can probably imprison him.

Seriously, Chrysalis’ power is way too OP. If only she killed off threats and only harvested the weaklings. But you know, kids show and she’d basically win immediately.
She was almost overpowered by her own creation, that is Evil Twilight. If that clone was even half as powerful as the real Twilight, then Chrysalis really wouldn’t have stood a chance, especially not against the other Mane 6 and Starlight.
She actually had a point. While Twilight has been a thorn in her side, Starlight cost her everything. She wants Starlight to suffer first and foremost.
She also mentioned that an outright attack or even staying in too close proximity to the 6 could blow her cover (they did it before) and she lacked the force for a proper attack. If Starscream Sparkle had the same strength as the real version, then Chrysalis was speaking the truth as she couldn’t outright overpower ONE of them, much less ALL 7 with Starlight’s haxx magic.
Chrysalis doesn’t want them to go out with a bang. She wants to carefully orchestrate their slow fall and a simple pitiful whimper. When Chrysalis does something, it’s an art.
