Why, I once had to deal with a combination of Flash, a video driver, flakey RAM, an ever so slightly flakey MB, misapplied thermal paste, and a slightly out of date BIOS all coming together in just the right way. Well, okay, It wasn’t just Flash. Anything that caused lots of L3 cache misses in rapid succession would triple fault the machine. Which was interesting because I had to deal with the fact that Memtest86+ said the RAM was A-OK, but moving one of the sticks into a different slot would cause the machine to triple fault before it even finished booting…
