Cryzeu @someguy111 He was clearly aiming to create something similar to these gif’s which create an illusion of 3D: http://www.buzzfeed.com/robinedds/3d-gifs-are-a-thing-now-and-theyre-really-quite-cool Clearly not quite as successful, as this cartoon doesn’t exactly have enough visual depth to achieve something even close.
