I think the video was going for more of a “crash course” than a full-on biology lecture. At least it gets a lot of the most important points across.

While I agree that the video is perhaps a useful wake-up call for ponies who don’t understand hymens, it isn’t accurate. Most mares have hymens that will necessarily be broken by penetrative sex, and a penis isn’t going in without damaging the tissue, period. Some of us are born with no hymen or a thin annular hymen (like I assume the woman in the video was), but the majority of women have more tissue than that.
That’s the whole point of having a hymen, evolutionarily-speaking.
