This is nothing new. Older comics directly referenced events that had or were going to happen in the series all the time. The series never references the comics in return.
Everyone’s arguing about Fosgitt’s art style or the canonicity of the comics, but I’m just focusing on that “animal sanctuary” bit. Could it be we’re finally getting an explanation of what Fluttershy’s actual job is?
In the choice between “complains about content” and “constantly complains about the moderation team, assumes malice at all times, loves veiled insults and can never stop doing any of these things”, I think I know which one I’d rather put up with.
Now, are you going to carry on, or are you going to drop this?
I love how “just hide the tag instead of constantly complaining about it in the comments” is a rule that only applies to the plebians, it really helps lay down the cement foundations on that moral high ground.
Oh, i can see how this will tryed to season 7: one episode will be about fluttershy being called somewhere and show what she does while the comic shows what happens at her house while she is gone.

Anyway… art critiques aside, it sounds like it could be a cute story. It’ll be interesting to see if it actually does tie into season 7 at all.
As animatic that Fosgitt “art” is, he went from cute to abominations in just a few period of time.
