@b4betty
Part one was Apple Family Reunion where it was heavily implied that the shooting stars represented her dead parents. This all but confirms it.
I have to ask though, does anyone else feel like we just watched a 2nd part of an episode we missed? And what was with the “if mom and dad were here” bit????!!!! WE NEED ANSWERS!!!
@Whiteeyes
I predicted a long time ago that when they get their cutie marks, they’ll still leave their HQ open to help others find their purpose in life.
@Whiteeyes
While the CMC are major characters, they’re not the main characters, so even if they did reach the end of their development (which they didn’t), it wouldn’t matter anyway.
Reaching life goals are often not the end, but merely the starting point towards more goals.
@Fwelin
Twilight,s ascension offered plenty of story potential, I wasn’t one of the people that complained about it. But let me ask this: what can they do with the CMC now that they can no longer C for a CM? They basically removed the groups main motivation and gave them their multi-season long goal. Now what?
With Twilight becoming a Princess, no end goals were met, they just added a new element to the story. Here, they are satisfying an end goal and removing the primary motivator of three characters.
@Whiteeyes
It’s no more “end of series” than Twilight becoming a princess was, and that is going to have been less than halfway through the show by the time the show is over.
Not about the parents, that was just an unexpected bonus.
I meant the actual episode we just saw, just my opinion, but to me it felt like it began in the middle of a story being told already.

Now, give me my evil Spike and i can die happy.

They got their cutie marks; their destiny is helping other ponies to understand their own talents.
Nah, no story potential there whatsoever. No way that leads them to meeting ponies with interesting talents or anything.

Their motivation was to gain a purpose.
Now they have it.
There are plenty of places for them to fufill it.
Twilight’s little level up was just to let her do more of what she was already doing, but with slightly more pomp.

We’ve had pony confirmed through 2017, so yep, the ride’s continuing.

They’ve already confirmed a full length season six.
Same. Apparently so!
Don’t grow up to fast
