Doesn’t mean that the people who took over afterwards did a good job, though. I 100% agree with Faust’s original intention for the mane six to deliberately avoid falling into stereotypes and making the two most “masculine” characters gay for each other is a slap in the face to everything those characters were supposed to mean.
