There are two models. One that’s folded already, and is static. That’s what you see here.
The other is bone merge-able, untape-able, folding, what-have-you. That’s the one you’ll probably be interested in and is in the works.
This one is just provided as a convenience to animators so they don’t have to figure out how to fold the other model into a neat shape.
